This year’s Bamfield Trip will be here in no time. It will be taking place from Monday, February 26 to Thursday, March 1, 2018. Final fees have been given out to students along with an Letter to Parents re Bamfield Final Payments and Info 2018
Some important things to note:
Mon, Feb 26 – 6:30am depart Ideal, 8:25am ferry from Horseshoe Bay, Arrive @Bamfield 2:30-3pm
Thurs, Mar 1 – 8:00am Depart Bamfield, 1:00pm ferry from Nanaimo, pickup @Ideal 3:45-4pm
DO NOT BE LATE!!!!! We will not wait for any students who do not show up on time for departure as we have ferry and bus reservations that are time sensitive.
Please provide your child with money for lunch on Mon, Feb 26 AND Thurs, Mar 1.

What to Bring:
Our Student-Led Parent Conferences will take place on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 2-4pm and 5-7pm. Classes will be dismissed at 1:30pm to accommodate the conferences. An official invitation letter will be sent home with your child during the week of Jan.15.
This year, our conferences will follow a different format under a different reporting philosophy. Official sign up is not necessary and Students will bring their Parents and guide them through their classes at Ideal. Students will have the opportunity to share their learning, self-reflect, and set goals with their parents. Each classroom will be setup by the teachers in a manner that will allow students to provide evidence of learning in each of their courses. Teachers will be on hand to help with the process but the intent is for students to provide parents with information, progress, and set goals in a self-reflective manner.
Note that the entire process should take approximately 30 minutes depending on the amount of time spent in each classroom.
**Please note that our conference is separate from the one held by Churchill on Thursday, January 18. If your child has a Churchill class, please see the Churchill website for sign up.
