To Parents: New Procedure for Reporting Student Absences to School

When your child is absent from school, please email all of our staff with the following information each day your child is absent:
  • Child’s name
  • Date of absence
  • Reason for absence
  • Your contact phone number

*This procedure will replace phoning into the school office each day as phone messages may be missed in the event our secretary is out of the office.

Desserts, Arts and Drama

Our Annual Desserts, Arts and Drama night is our biggest fundraiser of the year and will be taking place on Thursday, April 26 from 6:30-9:00pm.  Students, families, friends, and prospective students are all welcome! This year’s schedule includes:

  • Skits performed by our drama classes
  • Art exhibits
  • Talent show acts featuring some of our most talented students
  • Silent auction hosted by our PAC
  • And more new ideas to come!

***On a related note, our PAC is calling for volunteers as well as donated auction items and bake sale items.  Auction items may be brought into Lu in our office at this time (no used goods, include an approximate value).  If you would like to volunteer with the PAC or have bake sale items, please contact the PAC through

2018/19 Grade 8 Cohort now FULL!

Our 2018-19 Grade 8 cohort is now FULL.  Thank you to all students who have applied to our mini school program.  We encourage you to apply again for upper grades in the future should space become available.  Best of luck!

Vancouver District Science Fair Results!

Congratulations to all of our students who participated in the Vancouver District Science Fair at Langara on Friday, March 2.  Well done!  5 of our groups have been selected to move onto the Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair to be held April 12-14 at UBC.  They are:
